Abstract for Self Assessment:

2020 has proved to be a crazy year for everyone across the world. Having to adjust to these times has proven difficult at times, but writing for the sciences has made these times a little more fun and little less challenging. The class lays out a set of objectives for each student to try and achieve by the end of the semester. I analyze the extent in which I have achieved those goals based upon the work I have presented this fall. My perspectives on the duties of writing and what writing actually does in society were also changed throughout the course of the class as well as my opinions on writing in general. There could be no more pertinent time to be an effective science writer than in today’s world where we are living in the midst of a climate crisis and worldwide pandemic.

Abstract for Outline:

I have made several outlines throughout the duration of this course, however this one I feel is the best one in terms of its organization and clarity. The outline was created to map out my plan for the self-assessment essay and to create a layout or format to how I wanted my essay to flow. I created the outline while looking at both the rubric for the assignment as well the prompt for the essay to make sure nothing was missing from the outline so that all the questions were answered.
